“Hear Ye! Hear Ye! By Order of the King…”  “Extra! Extra! Read All About It!”  These statements are proclamations.  To proclaim something is to announce it officially, publicly and clearly.  When we consider the type of worship or worshipers that God seeks we must consider the aspect of proclamation.  Paul wrote the saints at Corinth regarding their observance of the Lord’s Supper that they were proclaiming the Lord’s death until He returned. (1 Cor 11:26)  Their simple participation of communion with one another and the Lord, by partaking of emblems commanded by our Lord is an act of worship by proclamation.  We proclaim officially, publicly and as clearly as possible that we believe, trust and have complete faith in the atoning death, undoubted burial and assured resurrection of Jesus, the Christ.

Proclaiming our faith in God and Christ is but one form of worship that is manifested in many ways… We pray, demonstrating our dependence upon God, we sing songs of praise and adoration, and we proclaim messages written “aforetimes for our learning.” (Romans 15:4)  Worship is sometimes considered to take place only when larger numbers of people gather for this purpose.  This does not take into consideration the worship that takes place when proclaim our faith one on one… Whether it be for the purpose of bolstering one another in our faith or for introducing the concept of faith in God to an unbeliever.  Therefore we can worship as individuals or we can worship collectively as a group.

How are you proclaiming your faith in God?  I would like to encourage you to proclaim to others the greatness of God Who loves us, saves us, and cares for us.  David tells us in Psalm 100 that we (all the earth) should be about the worship of God because He is God; He made us; we belong to Him; He is good; His love endures forever and He is faithful to all generations.  Do you know the God David is speaking of?  If not, you need to, for there is no other name under Heaven by which man can be saved.
